Who will prevail this time around?
Carom Cafe in Flushing New York will host a USBA Tour Open Tournament this weekend beginning Friday November 16. With an expected prize fund of $15,000 many top players will be in action, including the return of the number one ranked player in the world Torbjorn Blomdahl.
The last open tournament held at Carom Cafe in August ended in dramatic fashion as 2012 US National Champion Pedro Piedrabuena beat Torbjorn Blomdahl in the final match to win the tournament. Now, after an unexpected slip in the World Championship in Porto, Portugal, followed by a brilliant win in the UMB World Cup in Suwon, Korea (that helped him claim the number one ranking in the world) Blomdahl returns to New York seeking redemption.
Carom Cafe, one of the premier three cushion billiuard rooms in the country, hosts a continuous stream of tournaments for players of every level throughout the year.
