Twenty-three players entered the Carom Café tournament, which was billed as a tune up for the 2021 National Tournament to be held at the same venue in December.

Harry Peña, a local player, topped the field, besting Young Kyu Lee 40 to 32 in the finals. Hugo Patiño, who lost to Peña 40 to 33 in the semi-finals, and Carlos Mario Villegas, who fell short to Lee 40 to 22 in the other semifinal round, finished 3rd/4th (with no game to decide the higher placement). Defendant USA national champion, Tae Ky Lee, finished 5th-8th, losing to his brother, eventual champ, 40 to 37 in a high average game in the quarterfinals.
