Pedro Piedrabuena Wins the Panamerican Championship

Pedro Piedrabuena defeated Colombia's Huberney Catano 50/37 in 23 innings to capture the 2026 Panamerican Championship title. At 15/13 in the match with Huberney leading, Piedrabuena ran 15 to take a 28/15 lead at the break. Piedrabeuna steadily scored after the break to maintain his lead and withstood a late thrust by Catano who managed to reduce his deficit to only 7 to bring the score to 44/37. With steely focus and a run of 6 points Piedrabuena immediatley closed out the match before Catano could inflct lasting damage.

Five Players to Represent the USA at the 2026 Panamerican Championship

The 2026 Panamerican Championship runs from June 25th to 30th in Lima, Perú. The USBA will have five players competing in the tournament: Carlos Mario Villegas, Pedro Piedrabuena, John Park, Hugo Patino, and Jesus Corona. All five will compete in the Men's Individual tournament and the USBA will also have two teams in the event for National Teams. Team A will consist of Carlos Mario Villegas and Pedro Piedrabuena. John Park and Hugo Patino will play for Team B. The Panamerican Championship also has a Junior category and a Women's category.
