The Alyse

RAD Billiards introduces The Alyse — an American-made 8ft carom billiards table, built to order with no pockets and no compromises. The Alyse was deveolped for carom players that wanted a table in their home but did not have room for a match sized 10 foot table, which many homes cannot accomodate. According to RAD Billiards owner Albert Dawson: "I come from a background working with pool tables, and over time I kept running into the same thing. Carom players who wanted a table at home had almost no domestic options. Everything serious comes from Europe (Gabriels, Verhoeven, Chevillotte, and the like), which means long lead times and a real headache if anything ever needs parts or service. I wanted to build something with the same seriousness (solid oak, real slate, correct cushion specs) but sized and priced for someone's actual living room, not a club."
The Alyse is an 8 foot carom billiard table with a three-piece 1 inch slate playing surface. Each table is built to order and comes with Simonis cloth and a set of Aramith balls. The tables are built in America and the cabinet is solid oak.
The RAD Alyse is designed for residential rooms. "That's really where the "home-size" idea came from. Most carom tables are built to tournament dimensions, which just doesn't work in most houses. The Alyse is 8ft, still plays true, but fits spaces a full 10ft table never could", says RAD owner Albert Dawson.
