2ND ANNUAL PARKER HESS MEMORIAL

USBA “Endorsed” B/C 3-Cushion Billiard Tournament

When: Friday, Saturday, Sunday – May 1-3, 2015

Where: Ashland Elks Lodge # 944. 255 E. Main. Ashland, Oregon 97520

Entry Fee: $75.00

The tournament will be limited to the first 28 players paid. All entries must be paid by Friday,

April 24 unless special arrangements are made with the tournament directors.

The entry fee listed is for current USBA members in good standing. Because this is an

“Endorsed” tournament, non-members need only pay an additional $10.00 fee to the USBA to

play in this one tournament (normally the single tournament USBA non-member surcharge is

$25.00), or $50.00 for an annual membership. (You can also sign up for a USBA membership on

the website: usba.net.)

There will be a $10 per person deduction from the entry fees for the USBA and a $10 deduction

per person for the Ashland Elks Lodge. All the rest of the entry fees will be paid to the B and C+

and C Division winners based on the number of entries we get for each division. (In other

words, there will be separate prize funds for each level, divided completely among the winners

at that level.) Additional donations to the prize funds are always welcome, and are in some

cases matched by funds from the USBA.

Format: Entrants will be divided into round robin flights consisting of players of all

levels, without handicaps. The top finishers from each flight in each of three categories, C, C+,

and B, will play in a finals round for each level. (The USBA defines these levels as follows:

C = .399 average or below, C+ = .400 to .549, and B = .550 to .699.)

There will be a players’ meeting on Friday, May 1, at 9:30 am, and tournament play will begin immediately after the meeting.

Tournament Details: 

Six Gabriels Elements carom tables will be used in this tournament, the same ones that were used in the 2012 USBA Nationals.

All official USBA tournament rules will apply.

Rankings will be based on Win/Loss Record, Total Points Scored, and then Head to Head; further ties broken by Total Points Scored Against.

Tournament Attire: appropriate casual wear. (Ties or vests NOT required.)
