2012 USBA Tour Open Tournament at Carom Café Billiards

Players’ Meeting: Thursday, November 15, 7:00PM

Qualifications: Thursday, November 15, immediately following the players’ meeting

                        All players play at least one match Thursday evening, November 15

Prize Fund:  $15,000* with the top 14 finishers receiving prizes:

*$15,000 prize fund is based on a minimum field of 28 Players in the qualifications.

The prize fund distribution may change depending on the number of players inscribed in the tournament.

Entry Fee:

“A” Players (.850 avg. & above)            $335*

"A” Players (.850 avg. & above             $310** USBA Member Discount         

Non “A” Players (.849 avg. & below)     $235*

Non “A” Players (.849 avg. & below)     $210** USBA Member Discount

ENTRY FEE MUST BE PAID BY NOVEMBER 4th otherwise a $20 late fee MUST be added. Entry Fee is refundable if you are unable to play due to unforeseen circumstances

Qualifications Format

28 players divided into 4 Groups of 7 players—playing round robin. Matches will be 25 points. The top 2 finishers from each Group advance to the Semifinals plus the 3 best third place finishers.

11 players plus 1 Auction & 1 Lotto will advance to the Semifinals. Mr. Blomdahl will be seeded into the Semifinals.  14 players total in the Semifinals.

The tournament director reserves the right to seed up to one player into each of the separate Qualification Groups. The remaining players will be assigned by random draw.

Semifinals/Finals Format

14 players divided into 2 groups of 7 players—playing round robin. Matches will be 30 points. The top 2 finishers from each Semifinal Group advance to a 4-player Single Elimination Final.

Dress Code: dress shirt, black slacks, black shoes, formal-wear tie and vest.
