Former USBA national champion George Ashby won the USBA open tournament held at Rushville Billiards in Rushville, Illinois, from January 11 to 13. Ten players gathered to play a round robin, and after two and a half days of play, Ashby emerged undefeated (9-0) with a .840 grand average.
