Torbjorn Blomdahl and Pedro Piedrabeuana continued on their collision course dring the second day of play at the USBA Open Tournament at Carom Café in New York. Through all eight rounds of the qualifying brackets, each stood at 8-0 after facing their toughest competition in the last round. Miguel Torres, was 7-1, after challenging the Swedish World Champion, while Hugo Patino, having suffered only one other loss ended up 6-2, being unable to unseat Piedrabuena at the end.

Eighteen players came ready to play in the USBA Tour Open Tournament held at Carom Cafe in Flushing NY this weekend. And when one of them is the great Tobjorn Blomdahl you know we are in for some great billiards. With the orgainizers hoping for 28 players the challenges for many in the aftermath of Super Storm Sandy proved to be too great. In fact, even the famed 24-hour live stream at Carom Cafe took a hit and could not be made ready for the event.

Lupe throws Houston Players for a Loop!
On Friday August 24th sixteen players assembled at Trish Bida in Houston Texas for the very first USBA Tour B tournament held in the city. Players came from as far away as Des Moines, Iowa as well as San Antonio and Dallas Texas. We registered 10 “C” players and 6 “B” players to start.

Who will prevail this time around?
Carom Cafe in Flushing New York will host a USBA Tour Open Tournament this weekend beginning Friday November 16. With an expected prize fund of $15,000 many top players will be in action, including the return of the number one ranked player in the world Torbjorn Blomdahl.
